TOMBALL, TX — Custom Lobby Sign for Old Republic Title New Location

Old Republic Title Insurance Group first opened in 1907 in Minnesota, providing title insurance policies and related real estate transaction and mortgage lending products and services to consumers, lenders, businesses and even government agencies. Ever since the first office opened, the company has expanded at a quick yet sustainable rate, offering great customer service and full support for all insurance and lending needs. For their newest location in the rapidly expanding Tomball, TX, Old Republic Title was referred to Monarch Sign & Graphics by one of our great clients, RE/MAX Elite Properties. The recommendation came after Old Republic Title expressed interest in finding a sign company to partner with that shared their values in quality work and great customer service. As a local company that values ourselves on the work and great service we provide, the partnership was well-suited between our two businesses. The new custom lobby sign for the reception area was one part of the overall project we completed for Old Republic Title. The overall project included: Custom ADA Signs Exterior Window Graphics Building Sign Tenant Panels Custom Lobby/Reception Sign When we created the lobby sign, we created a high contrast using a high gloss finish and laser cut the letter and logo elements from black acrylic. By cutting the acrylic with a laser, a polished edge that matched the gloss finish of the front side of the letters was achieved. The result was a beautiful and finely tuned finish that matched the modern feel of the company while staying true to its original, long-standing imagery. For a lobby sign, the location is half the battle. With...

TOMBALL, TX – Custom Illuminated Building Sign for Old Republic Title

Old Republic Title Insurance Group has been around since the early 1900s, providing title insurance policies and related real estate transaction and mortgage lending products and services to consumers, lenders, businesses and even government agencies. With a such an upward-moving company, it’s no surprised they chose Tomball, TX, a rapidly growing town, as their newest location. Old Republic Title was referred to Monarch Sign & Graphics by one of our great clients, RE/MAX Elite Properties, when they began searching for a sign company to partner with that shares their values for quality and customer service. The first step of the project was an onsite consultation to determine their signage needs. Having previously worked in their new location, the Tomball Marketplace, we were already in tune with the specific needs and knew the specifications necessary to meet the property managers’ sign requirements. With that previous knowledge, we were able to quickly assess their needs and come up with the right sign selection. For the main building sign, we selected an internally illuminated set of channel letters to be mounted to the raceway, which is the box behind channel letters that houses the wiring and electrical components. With the signage type selected, we moved forward to the design phase. In this phase of the process, we created renderings with the sign superimposed on the building to give an accurate visual of what the end product would look like once installed. Before moving forward with installation, we submitted the renderings with both the property managers and local city ordinances to ensure full compliance with all regulations. The renderings were approved and fully...
Creating Illuminated Building Sign for New CraftHouse Grill in Cypress, TX

Creating Illuminated Building Sign for New CraftHouse Grill in Cypress, TX

CraftHouse Grill has opened a new location at 12910 Malcomson Road, Houston, at the former site of Kilburn’s Tavern. The restaurant boasts options in craft burgers and beers, aiming for a relaxed neighborhood environment. For the new location, the team was looking for an illuminated building sign. The first step of the process was removing the existing Kilburn’s Tavern & Grill sign. Once our professional installers had removed all elements of the sign, we completed an in-depth survey of the building. The site survey is one of the most important steps in creating a new sign that is built to last. Our team took measurements to properly scale the building to size, giving a much more accurate idea of how to create the proposed sign. At this stage, it is also advised owners of the building consider giving a fresh coat of paint to the building. This helps keep everything consistent and gives a fresher end result. For the new sign, our team recommended individually mounted channel letters that use internal LED illumination. Our LED solutions have been known to reduce energy consumption by 80% while remaining virtually maintenance-free. To get the most use out of the sign, we fabricated the sign with all aluminum construction and used acrylic faces. The aluminum is known for its ability to stand the test of time without rusting or corroding, leading to many years of use. To achieve a professional and clean look, our team ran all the wires from the inside of the letters through the face of the building. The holes created to allow the wires to run through the...
Rebranding Signs for Insurance Agencies in Sealy TX

Rebranding Signs for Insurance Agencies in Sealy TX

When you need to insure your life, home, business, car, boat, or RV, you head to the Vincent Strother Farmers Insurance Agency at 413 Meyer Street in Suite B. With a combined three decades of experience in the business, the friendly staff at this office works hard to ensure that you get the right policy to meet all your needs. When the company’s management team contacted our business sign specialists, it needed help with rebranding signs for insurance agencies in Sealy, TX. Because Farmers Insurance had undertaken a nationwide rebranding process that now presents its iconic logo with a more contemporary flair, our client had to change the signage at the location to meet the business’ brand standards. When we met with the team to discuss the scope of the project, we narrowed down three distinct product update requirements. Building sign. Window graphics. Hanging panel sign. Replacing an Old-fashioned Neon Sign with a Modern LED Channel Letter Setup In the past, internal neon lighting was a standard in the industry. But because LEDs are so much more long-lived and economical to operate, the majority of business clients now move to these products. The insurance agency was no exception. We removed the old sign and properly disposed of it. Next, we designed, manufactured, and installed the new channel letters that are internally lit with LEDs and perfectly encapsulate the new brand message. Bringing Window Graphics up to Brand Standards As you might imagine, the window graphics and associated lettering that the client had in place no longer met the standards of the company’s new branding. Since we were already working...

Binswanger Glass Shines with Building Sign Updates and Cabinet Sign Refacing in Houston TX

The tagline, “The Place for Glass,” identifies Binswanger Glass at 1724 FM 1960 in Houston, TX. The firm serves residential and commercial customers with products ranging from shower enclosures over auto glass to business storefront windows. When the company’s management team selected the business sign experts at Monarch Sign & Graphics to handle the location’s building sign updates and cabinet sign refacing in Houston, TX, we met with our client on site. Surveying the Challenge and Formulating a Plan   Many of the exterior signage products that were at the location had lasted past their useful lives. Sign facings had yellowed and lettering presented with faded and cracked displays. The building’s electrical cabinet sign showed evidence of significant erosion. As we uninstalled the item, we noticed that the fascia boards had rotted and created structural problems. Would these issues deter us from renewing the great looks of the company’s business location? No! In fact, we dove right in. But because we realized that we could not uninstall and replace all the signage components at once – after all, the client needed to have some signage identifying the venue – we worked in stages. We first set our eyes on the pylon sign. Freshened Colors, Updated, and Replaced Signage Now Define the Business’ Location   The pylon’s overall color was faded. We prepped the structure and painted it with a rust-inhibiting product that matches the blue color of the corporate palette. While our technicians focused on this task, our graphic artists prepared the flex face replacements for the sign itself. They present the company’s name and brand message to motorists...
Tomball, TX – Custom Truck Wrap for Local Cell Phone Repair Company CPR Improves Business

Tomball, TX – Custom Truck Wrap for Local Cell Phone Repair Company CPR Improves Business

One question we get asked often by our clients is how they can get more attention for their business. If the business already has sufficient signs at their location, then our response is typically to add a vehicle wrap to their arsenal of advertising. When the owners of the Tomball location of CPR-Cell Phone Repair decided to wrap one of their company trucks, they knew that Monarch Sign & Graphics was the perfect choice to partner with after having seen wraps we had done for other local businesses. During our initial talks with the local franchisee, we inquired about products and services they offered outside of cell phone repairs; as well as inquire about any other aspects of their business that would let us get to know them better (after all, great design requires a great relationship with our clients, and we are definitely a relationship driven company). During this conversation, we discovered they actually owned two locations, one in Tomball and one in the Westchase area of Houston. Knowing this, we made sure to include the contact information specific to the second location as well so they were able to get a “two for one” benefit on their advertising. As CPR is a franchise, we began by reviewing corporate marketing requirements for fleet wraps and advertising, followed by reviewing previous corporate designs with the local owners to get a feel for what they did and did not want the final design to look like; with the power of the internet, we were able to complete this initial process with a conference call to one of the business owners,...
