Binswanger Glass Shines with Building Sign Updates and Cabinet Sign Refacing in Houston TX

Binswanger Glass Shines with Building Sign Updates and Cabinet Sign Refacing in Houston TX

The tagline, “The Place for Glass,” identifies Binswanger Glass at 1724 FM 1960 in Houston, TX. The firm serves residential and commercial customers with products ranging from shower enclosures over auto glass to business storefront windows. When the company’s management team selected the business sign experts at Monarch Sign & Graphics to handle the location’s building sign updates and cabinet sign refacing in Houston, TX, we met with our client on site. Surveying the Challenge and Formulating a Plan   Many of the exterior signage products that were at the location had lasted past their useful lives. Sign facings had yellowed and lettering presented with faded and cracked displays. The building’s electrical cabinet sign showed evidence of significant erosion. As we uninstalled the item, we noticed that the fascia boards had rotted and created structural problems. Would these issues deter us from renewing the great looks of the company’s business location? No! In fact, we dove right in. But because we realized that we could not uninstall and replace all the signage components at once – after all, the client needed to have some signage identifying the venue – we worked in stages. We first set our eyes on the pylon sign. Freshened Colors, Updated, and Replaced Signage Now Define the Business’ Location   The pylon’s overall color was faded. We prepped the structure and painted it with a rust-inhibiting product that matches the blue color of the corporate palette. While our technicians focused on this task, our graphic artists prepared the flex face replacements for the sign itself. They present the company’s name and brand message to motorists...

HOUSTON TX – Custom Container Graphics for Site Utilities Company Double D Industries

HOUSTON TX – Custom Container Graphics for Site Utilities Company Double D Industries

Nobody will disagree that it is important to advertise your business… from your website and social media to your signs, advertising and promotion are key to success. However, this can prove challenging when your business is most visible when you are on location, such as construction sites. This is exactly the dilemma that Double D Industries found themselves in. As a site utilities company, they are constantly working at different locations and knew they needed to advertise their business where their core clientele would come from. They investigated the use of traditional panel signs that are used by most construction companies and made the conclusion that these signs were too small and too easily damaged. During further brainstorming sessions they found the perfect solution to their job site advertising needs when they developed the solution to address security issues for small equipment and supplies that were left on site, a 20 foot Conex container. After purchasing their containers and placing them on location the solution was obvious; put the logo on the Conex to advertise their business! To bring the concept to reality, they contact Monarch Sign & Graphics to create the solution. Meeting with the project manager we discussed the possible options; the first presentation was to create a large panel sign that would span the distance of the container and bolt them to each side, the second option was to create digitally printed graphics that would comply with the integrity of the company’s brand standards. Success!!! With the solution created, we moved the project to the design phase. With no standard template available for this application, our...

MAGNOLIA TEXAS – Custom Window Graphics for Local Restaurant Tailgators Pub & Grill

What can be more frustrating to a potential customer than driving through a huge parking lot with multiple businesses and not being able to find the one you are looking for? Well, I am sure there are a lot of things more frustrating than that, but not while you are going through the episode… Even though the Magnolia location for Tailgators Pub & Grill had traditional signage on the building façade, they found that most folks tended to look at the storefront glass when they were in the parking lot. They had used window graphics in the past to attract attention, but they were not holding up very well and were definitely not as vibrant as they would have liked.   Monarch Sign & Graphics was called in to develop the new theme of the storefront. To start the project, we reviewed their website to get a feel for their atmosphere, followed by an on-site meeting with the owner at the location to be transformed. Our design team provided several options that would achieve the goals of grabbing attention, presenting a fun and inviting impression, displaying some of their menu items, and incorporating their brand. Since we were already replacing the window graphics, Tailgators also had us update all of their entry door graphics as well to present a cohesive design to their customers. The finished product met all our client’s expectations and then some. To pull everything together, the color palate was that of LSU to bring immediate recognition that this was a Cajun inspired restaurant. We added the alligator mascot from their logo to reinforce their branding, followed...

TOMBALL, TX – Custom Reception Sign for Medical Facility Kindred Hospital

TOMBALL, TX – Custom Reception Sign for Medical Facility Kindred Hospital

Most of us have walked into a business and seen their logo prominently displayed behind their reception desk. Or in their conference room, waiting area, or some other highly visible, high impact area? These signs, most commonly referred to as Lobby Signs or Reception Signs are extremely powerful at reinforcing your companies brand and giving clients that “WOW” factor when they visit your facility. That is exactly the statement that Kindred Hospital was looking for at their main entrance. With an otherwise bare wall behind their reception desk, it created a very stark welcome for their visitors and patients. By adding their logo in full color, and taking up most of the wall, they now have a much warmer first impression! While this wall sign was created using acrylic that was custom painted to match their brands specific colors, there are many materials and options available to create that “one of a kind” look to give your business brand memory. From wood, to metal, to high end plastic; illuminated or not illuminated, there are materials and choices to fit any décor, and most any budget. Typically, most folks want to know how exactly these types of signs are installed with such precision; perfectly mirroring a company’s logo, not only in the aspect ratio of the designs and text, but the alignment of everything as well. While computers and specialize equipment gets us a long way, it is the artistry of both the graphic designer and the dedicated production team that really make these signs come alive. While the entire process can be quite lengthy for a single article, we...
