The owners of the local Tomball business CoPilot knew they needed to increase their visibility in order to attract new clientele. It did not take much market research for them to make the determination that, dollar for dollar, a vehicle wrap was the best way to get the most visibility. With an otherwise nice looking Dodge Ram 1500 (all be it a bit naked), they made their final decision! With the decision made, the search was on for just the right company to work with to make their wants become reality. Recently, we were contacted by the Sam Houston Race Park about one of their signs that was giving them trouble. The sign in question, the gigantic neon sign over the entrance of The Players’ Lounge. Featuring their iconic racing horse, text, and some nice embellishments, only part of the nearly 20-year-old sign was working. The sign was turned off so that its appearance would be consistent, and their search began for a sign company that could solve their dilemma. Every sign company they called gave pretty much the same response: “Neon, oh no, sorry but we do not work on Neon. And we do not know anybody that does…”. After contacting over a dozen sign companies they finally heard ‘Monarch Sign & Graphics, how can I help you?’ ‘Neon, yes we can help with your neon sign, can you tell me a little more about the issue?’ After a short conversation about the non-working sign, we scheduled a time to inspect the sign and do our best to diagnose the problem. SAFETY NOTE: A neon sign runs on between 3,000 and 15,000 volts and 30 to 120 mA. If you are not trained in diagnosing and repair of neon signs, it should not be attempted. The number of amps and volts potentially running through a neon sign are more than sufficient to result in death. When you have a business that makes deliveries it only makes sense to maximize your marketing dollars by turning your delivery vehicle into a rolling billboard; that is exactly the decision Acero Bella made! Starting with the naked truck pictured on the left and right, and knowing that they would be doing a full wrap on their box truck, they began searching for the perfect company to partner with to bring it to reality. A few short clicks later and they found exactly what they were looking for, Monarch Sign & Graphics. After initially contacting us, we provided them with a couple of options so they could determine what fit into their budget; their choice, a full vinyl wrap on their fleet box truck. With the decision made, we began the design consultation phase of the project. They had previously purchased business cards and wanted to make sure the wrap matched the look and feel of this design in respect to color, font, and placement. With only a business card and their logo file to work with, we had our graphics department get to work. To ensure the horizontal stripes of the background would maintain the same ratio, we used precision measuring equipment and a little bit of math to determine the correct percentages for each strip. With this, the rest of the design began coming together. After seeing the initial renderings, Acero Bella decided they would also like to wrap the cab of their Isuzu box truck in one of the background colors.
